


Established in 2014, Midsomer Choral Society has quickly established itself,
performing three main concerts each year. Works performed since the choir's
inception include Fauré Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria,
JS Bach Wachet Auf, Mozart Requiem, Haydn Nelson Mass and Te Deum no.2
in C, Handel Acis & Galatea and Zadok the Priest, Purcell Ode to St Cecilia,
and Handel Messiah (Pt 1).

Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle
Midsomer Choral presents one of the most outrageous works of the Romantic
period - Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle! With soloists Maria Danishvar
(soprano), Arabella Heaton (mezzo soprano), Matthew Bawden (tenor) and
Charles Johnson (bass), Alan Burgess and Jacquelyn Bevan (piano and
harmonium), conducted by Neil Moore.
Tickets £12.50, students & children free
Directed by Neil Moore the choir is currently looking for new singers in
all sections. No experience is necessary and all that is required is a love of
singing.
Accompanied by Alan Burgess, Midsomer Choral meets to rehearse on
Sunday evenings September - July 6.45 - 8.15pm at St John's Church Hall,
