The concert lasts about an hour and is suitable for all ages. Refreshments on sale, cafe style seating. Entry is free with a retiring collection.

Midsomer Choral: Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle

MCS bring Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle to St John the Baptist Church, Midsomer Norton with soloists Maria Danishvar, soprano, Arabella Heaton, mezzo soprano, Matthew Bawden, tenor and Charles Johnson, bass. This over-the-top operatic work, written in 1863, was the last of Rossini's works, written after 30 years away from composing. He described it as 'the last of my sins of old age'.
